ANNA KRONLEIN'S PORTFOLIO

Anna Kronlein '19

Hello! My name is Anna Kronlein, I am in class of 2019. I came to Colgan as a sophomore after spending a year at Osbourn Park. I was not in the CFPA program my first year at Colgan, but the creative atmosphere and welcoming environment drew me in. I have always had a passion for art, but the CFPA program has finally allowed me to test my boundaries and challenge myself as an artist. I have learned so much about myself and my future because of this program, and I can't wait to see where it takes me my senior year.
Along with art, I absolutely love music. I am not musically inclined myself, but I am always searching for new stuff to listen to and new artists to fall in love with. I have also fallen in love with crew here at Colgan. I began conditioning in winter of 2017, and ever since it seems like all my free time is devoted to rowing. I am so proud to be part of the first ever Colgan crew team.
When I am not doing art or crew, you will probably find me doing homework. I plan on pursuing a career in the biology field, but I also find joy in reading and writing in English class. I have no idea where I plan on attending college (as of now, the end of my junior year), but wherever I land I hope I can study both science and find time to continue pursuing art.
To wrap it up, life as an arts student at Colgan High School can be stressful and overwhelming, but in the best possible way. What more can a girl ask for than to be completely bombarded with art projects? It's a challenge, but I can say I've learned (the hard way) how to manage my time and prioritize what is most important in the life of a high schooler: staying sane. Art is time consuming and sometimes frustrating, but I've learned more about myself and others in art than any other class. Totally worth it.
